After surviving 2 weeks of fighting a serious limitation of packing just 2 bags for the whole summer with 50 pounds each, I landed with my daughter in Poland - land of daily baked sourdough bread, couple dozen types of potato and best vodka in the world (with many reasons and occasions to drink it), where people kiss you three times on the cheeks with biggest, brightest smiles and then cry on your shoulder telling you all their pains and sorrows in the same minute... The land where talks about life are deep and last till dawn, and soul searching are found in the super strong coffee... I know, you might thing 'what the... she is talking about', and you are right, it might be nostalgia, but I love coming back here. This time I had a 3 year break, so all the tastes, smells and colors are particularly strong and fill me inside out and I fill like a ballon that can never burst, I just take everything in and in and in... Poland is not a sunny island with palm trees and mango martinis, but its all good. beauty can be found.

I stay with my beautiful sister, indulging in her sisterly warm and tasty meals in her ultra sexy and fabulous apartment in Gdansk, historic port city, that has a lot to offer... but did I say SEXY? Boudoir. Session. Heaven. To be continued...

Stacey and Peter

This past Saturday I had a pleasure to photograph Stacey and Peter wedding. They met in the gym where Stacey is an awesome instructor and dance choreographer. I adore summer weddings, and this one was very laid back in Peter's parents backyard. The day was full of summer dresses, summer flowers, and some soft summer rain. And tones of sweet love:

Weekend in the City

Love weekends in the City... this Saturday was a little rainy, but for taking pictures whatever the weather!

The girl with ponytails would really trade her hullahop for that jump in the water...

Then I let my man carry the camera,

and he caught me going bananas over noodles...

and between the racks...

Everybody who knows me, know that I don't mess around when it comes to food. Especially deserts. That raw-vegan cheesecake with raspberries on top had my name on it! (from my favorite Pure Food and Wine restaurant take out)

I am a collector of a blissful places... I am so lucky to live by the one of the most beautiful beaches I ever experienced - Robert Moses - where the light of the south shore is amazing, the waves are dramatic and wild and create the most magical mist, the vast spaces makes you wanna run, jump and just go crazy. What a feast for your eyes and soul!

My Backyard is my favorite spot in the whole world... well, maybe not... but I love to lay in my hammock, bake in the sun, read a book or just look at the plants. Everything there is so inspirational! Today I peeked into my long-forgotten berry beds and there it was! A STRAWBERRY! Ripe and ready to eat, hidden among weeds that I decided to fight no more. Fruits from your garden taste always best, especially when they managed to survive years of neglect..

I first met Karen and Brian in Union Square in NYC, and from the beginning their charm captivated me. They have this quiet but powerful way of showing their love. That's why I found their wedding location - an over two centuries old lighthouse at the tip of an island - to be a perfect fit. The fog during the day added some mysticism as well.
